DUO: Parent and Child Ceramic Classes in Royal Oak

Price

$96.00

Parent and Child Together for Ceramic Classes in Royal Oak!

Create something meaningful together in this elevated parent–child (or grandparent, aunt, mentor—any duo!) clay experience. DUO is designed for adults and kids who want more than a typical craft class: it’s a guided, professional ceramic session in a boutique studio setting, where both participants work side-by-side, each creating their own functional piece with real porcelain clay.

Whether it’s a special outing, a quiet moment of connection, or a new creative ritual, DUO is a warm, intentional space to slow down, explore, and build something beautiful together.

✨ What You’ll Do

Both you and your young artist will:

  • Choose a project from our curated inspiration menu

  • Begin with a pre-thrown porcelain starter piece made by our studio potters

  • Learn sculpting, carving, attachments, texture, and color design

  • Create functional, one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces (cups, bowls, vases, planters, etc.)

  • Enjoy a calm, encouraging studio environment where you create at your own pace

Absolutely no experience required. The process is fun, achievable, and fully guided by a highly trained ceramic artist and educator.

💛 Why Families Love DUO

  • A meaningful bonding experience—screen-free, hands-on, and creative

  • Boutique-level materials and teaching, not a cookie-cutter craft

  • Two artists, two pieces—each person makes their own finished work

  • Comfortable, welcoming space where kids are treated like real artists

Return & Refund Policy

As we are a small and new boutique studio, solid bookings are key to our survival. Many supplies are purchased specifically for your class in advance to keep our shelves free for student work. Your purchase of these services acknowledges that you understand our policies.

Students may cancel up to one week in advance of class start time for a refund (minus a $15 cancellation fee). Cancels made within one week prior to the beginning of class results in a 50% studio credit toward future classes, up to 48 hours.

No refunds or credits are issued if you have to cancel within 48 hours before class start time, or should you miss a class or show up late.

Pickup of Finished Artwork

Easel & Wheel Art Space does not ship finished artwork, but the student/parent will be notified when the item is ready to be picked up and a pickup time is coordinated.

Ceramic projects with wet clay take time to dry; please allow a variable of 1 1/2 - 4 weeks (dependent upon kiln staging and dry time).
