About Us

Eleven Pop Up in downtown Royal Oak is a brick-and-mortar professional art studio: a bright, eclectic, welcoming space offering hands-on creative experiences for kids, families, and adults.

We're home to Easel & Wheel Art Space and offer unique kids’ art sessions, summer camps, creative birthday parties, and comprehensive formal art ed to accent the homeschooling experience.

Our adult programming through Easel & Wheel Art Space is purposefully distinct from our kids’ offerings. Classes like Late Night Date Night are held during separate hours and are strictly for adults, giving us the freedom to offer 18+ projects and experiences we intentionally keep out of youth programming. This separation allows for a more relaxed, social, and creative environment—something you won’t find in a typical all-ages community art studio.

We also have curated retail sales events featuring local professional art.

Also please JOIN US for our feel-good community events like Bright Side Sundays, where we celebrate connection, self-empowerment and healing through creativity.

One cozy studio, many creative experiences — all designed to be fun, approachable, and unforgettable.

*Eleven Pop Up is artist-run by a Royal Oak native and not corporate-run. Our studio is led by a professional artist with a BFA with Honors from the College for Creative Studies (Major Crafts/Ceramics, Minor Fine Art/Illustration), 25+ years as a professional artist, and a Master’s degree in Art Education from the University of Florida. Every class, camp, and creative experience is thoughtfully designed with real studio practice, joyful teaching, and a belief that art should feel beautiful, approachable, fun and rewarding.*

"The instructor not only was incredibly knowledgeable, she guided us through each step, making it easy to create something beautiful. She gave helpful tips when needed and lots of encouragement and patience. The  whole experience was absolutely amazing and incredibly inspiring."

Kendal A.

"Taking pottery classes with Carrie was not only a fun, silly experience (courtesy of the host herself), but also an opportunity to create art that brings me joy in every day life. Carrie is patient, kind and an expert at what she does! I can't wait to attend another class."
