Teen Ceramics Class in Royal Oak: A Boutique Ceramic Studio Experience for Teens Who Want Real Art, Not Crafts
Teens crave authenticity — and this session delivers. In this elevated clay-building experience, artists ages 13–17 work in a real ceramic studio with professional-grade porcelain and high-level guidance from a trained ceramicist. This is a judgment-free, inspiring environment where they can explore sophisticated ideas, experiment with techniques, and build something deeply personal.
Teens choose from a wide range of functional or sculptural projects (mugs, bowls, planters, figurative pieces, character builds, creature sculptures, vases, themed designs, and more). They start with a handmade pottery base created by our studio, then build upward using attachments, surface design, carving, and texture. They have the freedom to push the medium further, and our guidance supports their creative vision while teaching real ceramic skills.
Their piece is made in wet porcelain clay, dried carefully, bisque-fired, glazed by our team, then high-fired to a durable, dishwasher-safe finish.

Easel & Wheel Art Space does not ship finished artwork, but the student/parent will be notified when the item is ready to be picked up and a pickup time is coordinated.
