A Real Studio Experience for Confident Makers Ready to Explore Bigger Ideas
Give your preteen the chance to work like a true artist. In this thoughtful, boutique-style clay session, kids ages 9–12 step into a professional ceramic studio and create a functional or sculptural piece using real porcelain clay. This age group thrives with a little more independence — and we honor that by giving them room to explore while providing expert, approachable guidance.
Artists choose their project from our inspiration menu (mugs, bowls, vases, sculptures, creatures, themed designs, and more). They begin with a handmade starter form crafted by our studio potters, then build out their ideas using attachments, carving, shaping, texture work, and design techniques. The projects feel mature, meaningful, and empowering.
This is a wet-clay session — not a paint-on-bisque craft. Their piece will dry fully, go through two kiln firings, be glazed by our in-house artists, and return as a long-lasting, microwave- and dishwasher-safe piece they can actually use.

Return & Refund Policy
As we are a small and new boutique studio, solid bookings are key to our survival. Many supplies are purchased specifically for your class in advance to keep our shelves free for student work. Your purchase of these services acknowledges that you understand our policies.
Students may cancel up to one week in advance of class start time for a refund (minus a $15 cancellation fee). Cancels made within one week prior to the beginning of class results in a 50% studio credit toward future classes, up to 48 hours.
No refunds or credits are issued if you have to cancel within 48 hours before class start time, or should you miss a class or show up late.
Pickup of Finished Artwork
Easel & Wheel Art Space does not ship finished artwork, but the student/parent will be notified when the item is ready to be picked up and a pickup time is coordinated.
Ceramic projects with wet clay take time to dry; please allow a variable of 1 1/2 - 4 weeks (dependent upon kiln staging and dry time).
